Also known as Elephant Grass, Miscanthus is an ideal bedding for Horses, Cattle and Poutltry. Used either as deep or shallow bedding this almost dust free bedding is highly effective for the animals and efficient for you.

Miscanthus comes to your in an extremely clean condition because it is sterilsed during processing.

It is highly absorbant and wet patches don't spread and can be removed without having to replace the entire bedding.  Once wet it composts very quickly and so can be recycled on to land readily.


Small animal and Pet bedding

Miscanthus makes a really good, comfortable bedding for small animals too.  All  the advantages for large animals are there for the pets as well, and we can supply in small quanties for you.

Miscanthus Mulch

Miscanthus is an excellent mulch, and is very effective in preventing weed growth.  Miscanthus mulch stays in place very well resisting movement caused by wind and rain.  It absorbs a lot of water which helps maintain moisture levels in hot weather.  As it biodegrades is releases mineral nuterients into the soil to aid plant growth without increasing the acidity of the soil the way other mulches do.

Miscanthus is light in colour and so make for a more attractive garden than other mulches.
